What an awesome month so far, our 4th grandchild Shayna (meaning
beautiful) Joy, was born to our daughter and son-in-law Melissa and Jason
Klopper on Friday at 11:45amd in their home. Jason and I almost caught the
baby on our own, but as the head was crowning the midwife, Marianne
Littlejohn, walked in the door. (to our great
relief!).
I must say as much as a natural home birth is so magnificent, I am still
squeamish when it comes to body fluids of any kind!
Shayna weighed in at 3.8kg and 51cm long with an Apgar of 10 and is the
sweetest thing. Melissa now has 3 children under the age of 3 and deserves a
medal!
Mind you, Natural way children are so content and healthy that it must be
tempting to have a dozen.
Besides that, Mark and I are on our bi-annual parasite cleanse and taking
Para 90. Some of you may be surprised that we have parasites, but with 4
grandchildren who play in the sand pit, dig in the garden and kiss dogs and
me, I have no choice. Para 90 any day is better than not kissing them.
We will then be doing a month on Aim’s Herbal Release to help clean out the
lymphatic system.
Then Mark and I finished recording our 24th
Digimag (DVD). Can you believe in2 years of monthly cooking
demonstrations, talks and interviews! In this special DVD I interview Mark
himself, who films, edits and writes the music each month for the DVD. Then
I discuss the parasite issue in detail at a recent talk and make Mark’s
Chili non-Carne, Thomas de Klerk’s carrot salad and our unbelievably
delicious wheat-free crunchies. You can order the DVD’s from Jason on
dvd@mary-anns.com or phoning in South
Africa 021 881 3681. The DVD can be shipped anywhere in the world and we are
working at on an international online payment system. (NTSC available on
request)
I am in Johannesburg from Monday 20-25 August to do talks on various topics
from Diet and Hormones to addictions, behaviour, depression, sex, exercise
and diet, osteoporosis and weight issues. Click here to check details and

Contraceptive Pill & Injection & other meds used for stroke, cancer etc
This email was sent to me and I never forward
emails that I cannot find the original sender, but this one time I feel I
need to…
Don't be offended I sent this to you
guys as well. You guys can pass this on to the women that you know. That's
why I sent this to you. Not for any other reason.
In the past week, Nicole Dishuk, aged 31 newly
graduated student with a doctoral degree about to start her new career as a
Doctor, was flown into a nearby hospital, because she had passed out.
They found a blood clot in her neck, and immediately took her by helicopter
to the ER to operate. By the time they removed the right half of her skull
to relieve the pressure on her brain the clot had spread to her brain
causing severe damage.
From last Wednesday night, she had been battling. They induced her into a
coma to stop the blood flow, operated 3 times and ... finally, they said
there was nothing left that they could do. They found multiple clots in the
left side of her brain. The swelling would not stop, and she was on life
support.
She died at 4:30 yesterday. She leaves behind a husband, 2 year old Brandon
and 4 year old Justin. The CAUSE of DEATH - A birth control injection she
was getting that allows you to only have your period three times a year. It
interrupts your menstrual cycle, and although it is FDA approved, it
shouldn't be!
So to the women in my address book - I ask you to boycott this product &
deal with your cycle once a month so that you can live the rest of your life
in a healthier manner.
Please send this to every woman you know - you may save someone's Life...
Remember, you have a CYCLE for a reason!
Just in case
you think the daily contraceptive pill is OK here is a summarised list of
possible side effects from my book Healthy Kids
THE CONTRACEPTIVE PILL
Perhaps the most convenient of all forms of contraception, but also the most
harmful, is the Pill. There are many different
preparations available but the most popular consist of a combination of
synthetic female sex hormones that block the normal process of ovulation and
disrupt the normal menstrual cycle. I do not intend to
go into the different types of oral contraceptive pills available on the
market today, but I do want to take the time to point out some of the
potential risks and side effects associated with these preparations, many of
which manifest in seemingly unrelated symptoms or only surface some years
down the line. If you wish to go into the subject at
some depth, I suggest that you read an excellent book written by Barbara
eaman, The Doctor’s Case
Against The Pill.
Side Effect # 1 (Blood
Clots)
Blood
clotting, particularly in the lungs, is considered one of the most frequent
and dangerous side effects of the Pill.
Side Effect # 2 (Strokes)
Strokes essentially result in death of part of the brain, and cause a host
of side effects, including blindness, loss of speech, loss of limb use,
cataracts, epilepsy and, of course, death.
Initial symptoms are headaches often accompanied by dizziness, double vision
and stiffness in the neck. See a doctor and stop taking
the Pill immediately.
Side Effect # 3 (Reduced Libido)
Initial symptoms here are quite obvious. But as it can
take a few months to correct this after discontinuing the Pill, give your
body time to recover.
Side Effect # 4 (Sterility)
Certain women simply do not ovulate or start menstruating again after
talking the Pill. Others have irregular, scanty periods.
In either case these women may find that they are unable to conceive,
and sterility must surely be considered the most tragic of all side effects.
Side Effect # 5 (Cancer)
Cancer is most commonly a side effect of the oestrogen-containing pills, and
the higher the oestrogen content, the higher the risk of cancer.
The most common forms of cancer attributed to the Pill are breast,
ovarian, cervical and uterine cancer.
Side Effect # 6 (Heart Disease)
Heart
disease is one of the serious disorders associated with taking oral
contraceptives. According to Dr William
Spellacy of the University
of Miami Medical School, the Pill produces certain changes in the
body’s metabolism, resulting in a significant rise in triglyceride levels in
the blood. This, in turn, is associated with a hardening
of the arteries and possible heart disease.
Side Effect # 7 (Diabetes and Hypoglycaemia)
Various studies indicate that the Pill affects blood glucose levels and
insulin output in many women, contributing to the possible development of
diabetes or hypoglycaemia.
Side Effect # 8 (Depression and Behavioural Problems)
Psychiatrists were apparently among the first to persuade their wives to
stop using the Pill. They noticed several adverse
reactions in their family, friends and patients, ranging from suicidal and
even murderous tendencies, to irritability and tearfulness.
Other possible behavioural symptoms include hostility,
suspiciousness, delusions and even a tendency to being accident-prone.
But the most common of all behavioural symptoms is depression.
Depression manifests itself in a variety of emotional symptoms.
Some women become agitated and disorganised, others have difficulty
in sleeping, and some withdraw and become indifferent to their families and
surroundings. Many women suffer from a host of negative
emotions experiencing feelings of sadness, hopelessness, helplessness,
guilt, unworthiness, shame, enervation or exhaustion.
Some lose their appetites, while others eat compulsively.
Side Effect # 9
(Foetal Abnormalities)
Chief
gynaecologist of the US Air Force, Colonel William Peterson, discovered a
significant incidence of miscarriages and foetal abnormalities in a group of
women who had used the Pill prior to falling pregnant.
Other scientists have concurred, and it is now accepted that women who have
been on the Pill are at risk.
General Side Effects
Apart
from the major, potentially dangerous side effects mentioned previously,
more than 50 different side effects have been attributed to the Pill.
Some of these are decreased liver function (often resulting in
jaundice), thyroid problems, weight gain, urinary tract infection, problems
related to the joints (like arthritis), skin problems (the most common being
pigmentation), and gum disorders.
There are
many other forms of contraception, which I cover in detail in Healthy Kids
(order from jason@mary-anns.com
that are a lot safer than this.
Strokes
Just read an
article which speaks about one of the top sports men in South Africa who has
had to be sidelined after being chosen to represent South Africa in the
World cup rugby due to suffering from blood clots. Instead of offering the
man any form of hope he is to be excluded from sport because he needs to
take blood thinning meds. If he just changed his diet to exclude animal
flesh he would exclude the number one blood clotting substance which is
arachidonic acid a fatty acid found in abundance in all animal
One of the
quickest dietary ways to correct this problem would be to become totally
vegetarian and take flax oil on a daily basis. Flax oil being high in Omega
3 essential fatty acids, naturally thins blood
without the bad side effects of blood thinning medication. One of the most
common used is Warfarin so here are a few side effects.
You should know that
Warfarin may cause necrosis or gangrene (death of skin or other body
tissues). Call your doctor immediately if you notice a purplish or darkened
color, skin changes, ulcers, or an unusual problem in any area of your skin
or body, or if you have a severe pain that occurs suddenly, or color or
temperature change in any area of your body. Call your doctor immediately if
your toes become painful or become purple or dark in color. You may need
medical care right away to prevent amputation (removal) of your affected
body part.
Warfarin may cause
other side effects. Call your doctor if you have any unusual problems while
taking this medication
-
hives
-
rash
-
itching
-
difficulty breathing or
swallowing
-
diarrhea
-
fever
-
infection
-
nausea
-
loss of appetite
-
pain in the upper right part of
the stomach
-
yellowing of the skin or eyes
-
flu-like symptoms
-
chest, stomach, joint, or
muscle pain
-
difficultly in moving any part
of your body
-
feelings of numbness, tingling,
pricking, burning, or creeping on the skin
Then in
Newsweek I see an advert for Neulasta (I mean who comes up with these weird
names anyway?) which is a drug supposed to help you recover from and deal
with chemotherapy (for cancer) and boost white blood cells.
They then
list some of the possible side effects from the drug such as respiratory
failure, fatal ruptured spleen, abdominal or shoulder pain or any allergic
reaction!
|
Sickle cell crises have been
reported in postmarketing experience
with Neulasta®. Report symptoms of abdominal or shoulder
tip pain to your doctor immediately. In rare cases, serious allergic
reactions can occur, causing a rash, shortness of breath, wheezing,
dizziness (a drop in blood pressure), swelling around the mouth or
eyes, fast pulse, or sweating. Sometimes these symptoms could come
back within days after stopping treatment for the allergic reaction.
If you get these symptoms at any time, stop using Neulasta®
and call a doctor or get emergency care right away. If you have an
allergic reaction during the injection of Neulasta®, stop
the injection right away.
In a clinical study, mild to moderate bone pain occurred in 31% of
the patients in the study taking Neulasta® and in 26% of
the patients taking a placebo injection. In most cases, bone pain
was controlled with a non-narcotic pain reliever, such as
acetaminophen. Other common side effects reported by patients in the
study taking either Neulasta® or placebo were consistent
with the underlying cancer diagnosis and its treatment with
chemotherapy, with the exception of bone pain. |

For goodness
sake if you ate a totally raw high raw fruit and vegetable diet, with nuts,
seeds and avocado you would boost your immune system within 5-15 days and
only have beneficial side effects.
What am I
really saying? That if you take responsibility for your body and choose a
healthy lifestyle over drugs and surgery, you stand a good chance of having
phenomenal health, recovering from most disease, without the cots and pain
of medication. Do I suggest you stop all meds? NO, just get hold of a good
doctor that will wean your off your meds while you make the changes. I can
honestly say I have seen every single person respond in a dramatically
positive way when they make the change to a healthy diet and lifestyle.
If not take
the drugs, pay up and stop whining suffer in silence.
REMEMBER
there is NOT one drug that does not have side effects. Make sure you know
all the possible side effects (search on GOOGLE) and then do everything you
can to get healthy and stay healthy. After 25 years I can only tell you it
is worth it.
Read
The Natural Way books (see
www.mary-anns.com) for easy steps to
make those changes.
