8 of 2007 So back in Florida with no jetlag, so yes the fasting and BarleyLife and sunlight approach has been proven to work yet again. More interesting is the Aim convention where I met a variety of people. Jeannie Redick a nutrition coach from Virginia (www.eatforlife.org) was one of the speakers as was her son JJ Redick an NBA basketball player based in Orlando. Jeannie spoke of how a healthy lifestyle and diet can benefit you and we interviewed her for our next DVD. I must encourage you to order the DVD’s have been a great inspiration to everyone who receives them and if you are not sure whether you can afford them email Jason at dvd@mary-anns.com and find out if he has any special offers. A good idea is to also share the cost with a friend or friends and pass the DVD around. You don’t have to wait for me to come to your part of town, just order some DVD’s and see just how easy and delicious it is to prepare natural meals, hear some great testimonies and get motivated by one of the many talks and topics covered. This month we interview nutritionist Jeanne Redick from Virginia USA I make a delicious potato casserole, gazpacho and sweet potato with coconut cream dessert and we take a look at what is in your kitchen cupboards and how to make changes. Order the DVD’s from Jason on dvd@mary-anns.com Aim Convention My favorite speaker was Dr Eli Rappaport a student of Harvard Medical School and Boston University and the developer of Peak ATP. (I will deal with this in more detail below) Adenosine Triphosphate and Peak Endurance from Aim ATP is is considered to be the most important molecule in the human body as it is responsible for creating energy and is found in every cell. ATP in Peak Endurance increases ATP level outside the cell and this increases blood flow without increasing heart rate and blood pressure (which makes it rather unique) this increases oxygen and nutrients to cells. The increased blood flow increases ATP inside the cell and this results in a whole lot of benefits; Increased energy, endurance, mental clarity, calming effect on Central Nervous system, improves muscle endurance, recovery and strength, removes lactic acid when exercising helping reduce stiffness, and has anti-ageing benefits. There is even some indication that ATP improves lower back pain and increases hair growth. Peak ATP in Peak Endurance has also been shown to improve mucosal hydration helping improve conditions such as cystic fibrosis and possibly vaginal dryness. ATP and it’s by-product have been shown to protect the heart. Adenosine is a molecule that locks into nerve cell receptor sites which has a calming effect on the Central Nervous system and heart. Caffeine interferes with this process. It would be interesting to note whether Aim’s Peak Endurance helps protect against the effects of caffeine in those junkies that refuse to stop the habit. Please send feed back to me if you have any personal research. It appears that ATP production is decreased with fibromyalgia, so would therefore be of benefit to anyone with this condition. ATP improves insulin receptors and would therefore benefit people with blood sugar problems such as insulin resistance, diabetes and hypoglycemia. It appears that as we age our ATP levels decrease by 50% by the time we reach 70 years of age and that the most dramatic reduction takes place from 38-68 years of age. ATP is made in the body from glucose (carbohydrates) and from healthy natural fats. One of the reasons Carbo-loading is so important is that it helps increase ATP levels before a major sporting event. Some people take Peak Endurance with Aim’s BarleyLife and Just Carrots with Aimega or Millbrook (South Africa Only) Essential Fatty acids. This provides both fats and carbohydrates for ATP production inside the cell. It appears ATP is sensitive to pH in the stomach and destroyed between a pH of 1-2 so it is best not taken with protein or within 4 hours of a properly combined protein meal or 8 hours of a badly combined one. (See chapter 3 in The Natural Way and Chapter 4 in Perfect Health –USA only). A good time to take it would be on an empty stomach with your BarleyLife and Aimega in the morning and again in the afternoon (assuming that your stomach is empty) If you are; Studying Playing sport Working hard Doing physical training Feeling old Lacking energy Using energy drinks? Have blood sugar problems Have auto immune problems such as fibromyalgia and cystic fibrosis Are at risk for heart disease Have problems sleeping or panic attacks that are caffeine related Have lower back pain or suffer from hair loss
I suggest you a look at PEAK Endurance.
Peak Endurance is a grape electrolyte drink mix, combining ATP, electrolytes and B vitamins.
PEAK Endurance contains: PEAK ATP™ Correctly balanced electrolytes – Sodium, chloride, potassium, calcium, magnesium 50% of the RDA of vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, B6 & B12 à essential for critical metabolism process of the body _ ATP:
ATP is the universal energy storage molecule of the body It exists within the cell (energy for cell function & survival) & outside the cell (for vascular, cardiac & muscle function)
PEAK ATP increases extra cellular ATP, which: Improves muscle tone Increases vasodilation Stimulated blood flow to extremities Enhances delivery of glucose, nutrients & oxygen to muscles Improves cerebral blood flow & metabolism
ATP levels decline with age (50% by age 70). Decreased ATP levels and synthesis results in: Slower cell & tissue regeneration Reduced organ function Memory loss Lean muscle loss Reduced circulation to extremities
How safe is it? PEAK ATP is not a stimulant It does not increase heart rate or blood pressure No adverse effects observed on human trials It does not appear on any banned substance list
