Some feedback from '100 Day subscribers'..
Dear Mary-Ann
This comes to thank you for the privilege of
taking part in your 100 days to health programme.
I have had your book "The Natural Way", and 2 of
your recipe books for a number of years but could never quite manage the
suggested way of eating.
I remember making a smoothie once and the bin
was full of peels and there was so much washing up to do, I felt quite
exhausted and couldn't imagine doing this every day. I visualised being
rich and having someone prepare my meals for me.
I could eat like that any day, but the
preparation was more than I could handle.
I had also taken barley life and flax oil
erratically and once I missed a few weeks of taking the oil and took a few
tablespoons to try and make up for it and felt so sick, I never want to do
that again!
Also, I found it very difficult to get into any
routine form of exercise. I'd start with a determined bang and then other
priorities would take the spot light and somehow I just couldn't stay
motivated.
So, when I started on your programme it was very
helpful to have a step by step guideline. First thing, do this, then do
that, etc.
The first morning we had to do 5 minutes of
exercise I was in my PJ's and thought about skipping but didn't have a rope
(thank goodness). So I started marching on the spot (like a soldier) for 5
minutes. I was quite out of breath but pleased with myself. It felt good.
After marching for a number of mornings I
remembered an old book I used to have with physical exercises designed for
the Royal Canadian Air Force for men and women. 11 mins for men and 12
minutes for women. You start at level one and progress slowly. The pages
are yellowish but was just what I needed.
The smoothies are so delicious and now that I am
in a routine it doesn't take that long to prepare and I actually enjoy
preparing them. There's usually enough for two tall glasses and I keep one
in the fridge which my daughter enjoys when she gets home from school.
My husband and daughter enjoy the salads before
meals and I usually make 3 separate side plates for each of us because we
don't always eat together.
All in all, I have implemented some changes to
our diet with the emphasis being on more fresh fruit and vegetables on a
much more regular basis than before.
To me, this is a major breakthrough. I struggle
with not combining protein and starch but often leave potato or rice out and
rather add more veggies or salad and gradually my some of my old recipes are
being revamped.
The other breakthrough is exercising. I feel so
much fitter, relaxed and happy.
Mary-Ann, thank you so much for your
encouragement and guidance. I appreciate your holistic and caring approach
and all the time and effort that you have put into this plan.
Receiving an e-mail every day was a wonderful
way of connecting with you and being encouraged.
You're an angel.
With love and best wishes
Jenny G
Good day from Sydney Mary-Ann thanks so much for your faithful focused assistance over the past 100 days. When I committed myself to join your band of 'good health seekers' I thought 100 days would be forever, and can hardly believe it's over! I will miss your daily pop up into my inbox however! You have been an inspiration to me, with your unfailing commitment and valuable spot on information received daily. So God timed, I knew your words were directly from the Lord to me, so many thanks for not swaying away from His wisdom and truth. As per the part of the 'diet' not from the start did I anticipate that it was a diet... a life style change was more the correct way, I now know what I should be doing/eating before every morsel enters my mouth.. and have no excuses anymore either! I attach a picture of myself for your wall of fame... (taken last week up in Queensland, on one of the Whitsunday Islands, that’s near the Barrier Reef) I live in Sydney Au, with my husband, been here for the past 6 years, ex S African, from Randburg and if you're ever need a 'tour director of Australia' - let me know I can manage/organize or be your contact on ground level here. May God continue to bless and keep you on His path of truth and love With hugs x Jean Wethmar
Dear Mary-Ann, My life now has meaning. I wake up with a defined purpose every morning. I jump, REALLY JUMP out of bed, get my walking togs on and take the dogs into the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, and how spectacular life is. I have so much energy, and all day long feel chuffed at being alive and at night go to sleep, with joy, joy at being alive, joy at loving my family, joy that my body no longer is in pain and joy in my heart that God has made everything SO GREAT and I am so happy and at peace. I just cannot explain the wash of life, love, peace and joy that has washed over my body, and washed away the toxins of my body and mind. WOW, POWERFUL STUFF!! Yes it is from doing the 100 days. I tell people about it all the time, it just really works. This morning, was just lovely too, I have to, have to walk every morning now, I don't even think about it, and I just feel so energized and happy. My hot flashes have calmed down dramatically too, and I sleep through the night again - yipeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Annie
Hi Mary-Ann Thanks for the info today. I would like to give you feedback on your comment regarding the acidity of fruit and rheumatoid arthritis. I have had rheumatoid arthritis for the last 20 years and since I started drinking pure fruit smoothies and eating lots of fruit I have never felt better. My diet is not perfect but the fruit is one thing my husband and I do not miss every day. As a matter of interest I have never combined my fruit in the manner recommended by you either and have never suffered from acidic side affects. We make use of whatever fruit is available and usually we have a variety of as many good quality fruits that we can get except of course in mid-winter when it is only oranges, apples, pineapple, pawpaw (papaya) and banana. I am on a list of chronic medications which include methotrexate, chloroquin, salazapryin and ketoflam and Eltroxin. Since starting to drink the fruit smoothies I have gained strength in my joints, I have had no flare ups and in general my health and my resistance to flu and other common illnesses is excellent. I haven't even had a cold for the last 2 years. I am not a great salad person as I prefer fruit. When I first started reading your book and getting hooked on the fruit 2 years ago I was very stiff and sore and experienced some days of severe pain where just about every joint in my body was inflamed and swollen. Since being on the fruit I have not had one day like that and I would really like to thank you for your obedience to God's anointing on you to share the natural benefits of His creation with all of us. In your book you mention that fruit has every requirement that your body needs and in the beginning I would go for days just living on fruit and would sometimes replace whole meals with a beer mug of fruit smoothie. Thanks again you are doing a wonderful job. God Bless - Numbers 6 v 24-26 Leigh-Anne Hull
Dear Mary-Ann and Mark ... Thank you for this opportunity you have given to me via 100 days. Just wonderful!! I have tried to 'do' the Natural Way in the past but have always been doubtful about the day to day requirements. So, I appreciate being shown how to live the Natural Way day by day. I have had a real problem with allergies which are now gone. Also, appreciation to Caryl in NZ who has been so helpful to me as well. God pour His blessings on you and your family. Elisabeth Barnard
